The icy lock has gripped much of the country.  It’s bad here.  It’s worse in other parts.   We’re talking staggering below zero readings.  So cold that volunteers are walking the streets around the favorite homeless hangouts trying to encourage people to come in from the cold and into shelters now open.  That could be lifesaving.

Roland Will Roll Again!

Roland Burris will try again today.  Mr. Burris is the man embattled Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich appointed to fill Barack Obama’s vacant Sentate seat.  Yesterday Mr. Burris went to Capitol Hill to be seated and was turned away.
