Here’s the story that just crossed on the Associated Press wire. Everyone in the newsroom about popped a cork. Tonight the Cincinnati Bengals are taking on the Steelers. In Pittsburgh. On our station. It’s supposed to be a Channel Five Extravaganza. It will still be that. But without the team’s best entertainer. Here’s what the AP reported at around 11:15am today:
The Cincinnati Bengals say Chad, Ocho Cinco, the wide receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson, will be deactivated for tonight’s game against the Steelers. The Bengals did not specify what Johnson did. But Newsfive’s Sports Anchor George Vogel found out that Johnson missed some kind of meeting while in Pittsburgh. And the reason he missed the meeting???? He was sleeping. Chad was asleep. Sawing logs. Counting sheep. Catching some ZZzzz’s. Can you believe that?
Moving on. T.J. is now the team’s primary receiver..at least for tonight.
