Football Weather?

Hi everyone,

Not very often can you say..”The bottom is going to fall out.” But that is exactly what is going to happen sometime Thursday night into Friday morning. Not about the Bengals. They are going to win Thursday night. (I hope) I’m talking about the weather. Finally it is going to feel like winter. I’m not ready for it. As you know from this blog… I love warmer weather.. especially this time of year. I do like the first snow, though. The kids and sledriding. I like taking walks when it is snowing. Come February…I’ll be cursing it and wishing for this mild weather.

Back to the Bengals. I’ll be there with Tony and a friend of ours. His name is Scott Wall. He’s a great guy. Born and raised in Northern Kentucky. He loves the Bengals and is a lot of fun to be around. Tony is from Lebanon, Ohio. It’s hard to move to NKY and not really know anyone except your wife’s family. It’s a close-knit community and everyone knows everyone. Everyone is someone related to someone else. It’s like six degrees of Kevin Bacon. Well, Scott Wall was someone who was nice to Tony the first time he met him. He remembered his name. He included Tony in conversation at parties when Tony didn’t know anyone. That was about 20 years ago. Tony knows many people now. NKY is his home. Scott Wall will always be someone Tony considers one of his first friends in a new place. And Scott I thank you for making Tony feel comfortable. It wasn’t easy bringing the new guy around and it would have been even harder for him to stay had it not been friendly territory. I’ll alway be grateful.

We don’t care if the rain comes down. I’ll have something to keep the rain off. I’m more concerned about the final score. We need a big win. Baltimore needs one even more. Remember just a few weeks ago? A few minutes after the Ravens beat Cincinnati on Nov. 5,
T.J. Houshmandzadeh insisted that the better team had lost. The Associated Press reported that Houshmandzadeh said..”Deep down, we know we’re better than Baltimore and they know it,” Houshmandzadeh said. “We’ve got better players than they do.”

Three weeks later, he’s not backing down from a boast that sounds even sillier in light of what’s happened since then. The Ravens (9-2) have won five in a row. Now one victory away from taking the AFC North title from the Bengals (6-5). They can become the first team to clinch a playoff spot by winning in Cincinnati on Thursday night.

Come on T.J. Put your play where your mouth is. I know you can do it. Get fired up, Chad! Chris Henry… put extra glue on your hands and hold on to the ball. Carson..take care. They will be out to get you. Ask Big Bed. I’m sure he’s feeling bigtime sore after all the Raven abuse.
Come to the Jungle ready to roar and send the Ravens flying home.

That is all.
